9 August 2021, Martyrs Memorial, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad – Today, Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, the National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, who received the Vir Chakra, went to the Shaheed Stambh in the Shaheed Memorial Park and saluted the martyrs who ruled the English on the anniversary of the Kakori incident. The stove was shaken.
On 9 August 1925, during the Indian freedom struggle, Ram Prasad Bismil planned to rob the train going from Shahjahanpur to Lucknow. Rajendra Lahi pulled the emergency chain to stop the train and Ashfaq Ulla Khan, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Sachendra Baksi, Keshav Chakravati, Mukundi Lal, Murari Lal Gupta etc. disabled the guard and took possession of the box kept in his cabin, in which 8 thousand rupees. The reasons behind this were:
1. To raise arms and money for the Hindustan Republican Association.
2. To create rebellion against the British among the general public.
3. To take back the money robbed in tax from Indians.
The British arrested 40 freedom fighters after this incident, out of which four were hanged, some were sent to black water, some were given other punishments.
During this too, Banarasi Lal, Indu Mishra, Veer Bhadra and Jyoti Dixit had in a way become official witnesses against the freedom fighters in the Jai Chandra style.
Today, while saluting the martyrs of Kakori incident and congratulating the army's Subedar Neeraj Chopra for the gold medal in the Olympics, I want to give a message that:
"India must make elementary military training compulsory in its schools to lead the world"
