4 January 2025, 17 Akbar Road, New Delhi, Residence of the Minister of Defense: Today, a delegation led by the National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Vir Chakra recipient Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, met the Defense Minister of India, Hon. Raj Nath ji.
First of all, the Hon. Defense Minister Shri Raj Nath ji was thanked wholeheartedly for the speech given in the 17th National Convention of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha.
Today two points were placed before him:
1. Construction of guest house in Kargil Shaheed Smarak Sukhtirtha: Defense Minister Hon. Shri Raj Nath ji was reminded that when he had come to unveil the statue of Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh at the Kargil Shaheed Smarak, at that time a request was made to build a guest house in the Kargil Shaheed Smarak, which he readily accepted and said that he would tell the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Hon. Yogi Adityanath ji in this regard. It was requested to kindly take a decision in principle in this regard.
2. Basic Military Training: Defence Minister Hon. Raj Nath Ji was told that Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan provides basic military training to unemployed youths at Kargil Shaheed Smarak Sukhtirth. It was requested that basic military training should be implemented in schools as well. Students who take basic military training will become good citizens, will also be ready to become soldiers and will become such a heritage of the country that will neither damage public property nor let anyone else do so.
The delegation comprising Shri Rajan Chhibber, Colonel Mukesh Tyagi, Gaurav Senani Gyan Singh, Gaurav Senani Chandan Singh, Gaurav Senani Ganesh Dutt, Shri Gaurav Bansal, Advocate Sunil Kumar, Mrs. Anju Sharma in one voice told Shri Raj Nath Ji in their own words that the best way for national integration and character building is that we provide basic military training to students at high school level for which Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan is ready and capable.
