21 December 2024, Clyde Grand Hotel, Site-4, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad: Today, the Defense Minister of India, Honorable Shri Rajnath Singh ji inaugurated the 17th National Convention of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha online. He said that today's day has been declared as Meditation Day by the United Nations and India. He congratulated the President of the organization, Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi and all the members for organizing the convention on this day.
Honorable Shri Raj Nath Singh ji said that soldiers and ex-soldiers deserve felicitation, their families should also be felicitated because they live their lives in anxiety and uncertainty. He said that every soldier and ex-soldier is a reflection of devotion to duty, discipline and honesty.
Governor of Uttarakhand, Hon'ble Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh Ji said that a soldier from Visakhapatnam comes to Jammu and Kashmir and gives his supreme sacrifice, therefore respecting the martyrs is essential for national integration because a martyr does not belong to any one village or city but to the whole country. As the chief guest, General Gurmeet Singh Ji released the coffee table book of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha.
Acharya Lokesh Muni, founder of Vishwa Shanti Kendra, said that tolerance is a part of personal character but when it comes to the security of the country, tolerance should be zero. He said that the present situation of the country is such that efforts for national integration should be made at lightning speed. Honoring the families of martyred soldiers is an important step in this direction.
Padma Shri Dr. P Chirpat, who came from Bangkok, said that Thailand and TBCL (THAI BHARAT CULTURAL LODGE) have played a major role in the independence of India. During the Second World War, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose had made his strategy from here.
Major General OP Soni, Major General Aswal said in their own words that in the present situation of the country, there is an urgent need to maintain the unity of the country, therefore, by honoring the families of the martyrs on every occasion, at every place, repeatedly and at every level, the unity of the country will automatically begin.
On this occasion, the families of the martyrs were honored by giving gifts, the Martyrs' Aarti was sung and the works done by the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha were mentioned.
