Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha took the responsibility of maintaining Vijay Stambh in Indra Exhibition Par

17 December 2024, Vijay Stambh, Indra Exhibition Park, Arthala, Ghaziabad: Today, the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha started the cleaning of the Vijay Stambh installed in the Indra Exhibition Park.

This Vijay Stambh was built to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Indian Army who sacrificed their lives in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and who were residents of Ghaziabad. The names of 24 such warriors are inscribed on this Vijay Sthal.

This Vijay Stambh was built on 27 December 1996 on the initiative of the then Commissioner Shri HL Virdi. It was inaugurated by the then Mayor Hon'ble Dinesh Chand Garg. At that time the Commissioner had announced that every year on 16 December, a function would be organized here in memory of the martyrs. But this did not happen. This Vijay Stambh became a victim of neglect.

The administration forgot this but now the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha has taken this responsibility on its own for which the following committee has been appointed:

Gaurav Senani Gyan Singh, Gaurav Senani Chandan Singh, Gaurav Senani Ganesh Dutt, Gaurav Senani Rajendra Tripathi, Deshbhakt Bhuvaneshwar Pandey, Deshbhakt Ramesh Negi, Deshbhakt Sanjay Sharma, Smt. Sudarshan, Smt. Ruchi, Gaurav Bansal.

The above committee cleaned the Vijay Stambh built in the Indra Exhibition Park today and saluted the martyrs, paid tribute and offered flowers.

Vir Chakra recipient Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, National President of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, said that we want to bring to the notice of the administration that if any of their officers is suspended, he can be reinstated. If a leader loses the election, he can contest again but a soldier can sacrifice his life only once. That is why it is called the supreme sacrifice. Shouldn't the supreme sacrifice get the highest priority?

An event will be organised here after the Vijay Stambh is beautified next month
