Today, each member gave his suggestions regarding the security, unity, integrity and character building of the country. Some special suggestions were as follows:
1. One police station in every state for ex-servicemen: Just like there is a provision of pink booth, pink police station and pink ambulance etc. for women, at least one police station should be made in every state only for ex-servicemen. In the recent past, cases of misbehavior with serving and retired soldiers by the police have come to the fore. Hon'ble General Gurmeet Singh assured to raise this issue at a large scale.
2. Ex-servicemen should be settled on the border: Every year more than 60 thousand soldiers are retired at the age of youth. Most of the soldiers come from villages. If willing soldiers are settled on the border of Kashmir and Punjab by giving them some agricultural land, then no drug smuggler or terrorist will dare to infiltrate because every soldier is a symbol of dedication, honesty, training and discipline.
3. Nuclear bunker: In the present circumstances, the country also needs to build such bunkers which can provide security during a nuclear attack. The work of building nuclear bunkers should be given completely to ex-servicemen, in which a member of the National Vanguard of the Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan has been working for a long time.
4. Initial military training: In all schools, at the level of 8th class, at least 15 days of full time or two hours daily for three months should be implemented. The syllabus of initial military training is enclosed. The Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan is capable and ready to conduct this work. 6 such courses have already been conducted.
5. Agniveer: While advocating the Agniveer scheme, National President of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Vir Chakra recipient Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi asked if any ex-serviceman has been seen setting a bus on fire or destroying public property? If not, then the Agniveer scheme will quadruple the number of such people who will become the heritage of the country. The question was asked whether Israel's army is weak? If not, then the tenure of a soldier there is only 36 months while that of an Agniveer is 48 months. From a comparative point of view, can a 35-year-old soldier take as much risk or face as many adverse circumstances as a 19-year-old boy? A scheme like Agniveer should be implemented in IAS and IPS as well so that the bureaucrats can answer to the public. It is certain that instead of one out of four, two Agniveers should be kept permanently in the army and there should be no discrimination of any kind on the issue of martyrdom. Honorable Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh ji today appealed to the patriotic citizens to keep an eye on that half front which is posing a growing threat to the internal security of the country. He supported the proposal to deploy ex-servicemen in internal security. He said that an internal boil is more harmful than an external boil in the human body. He said that the Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan is my family and I request my family members to get involved in working towards national integration and character building.
