Honoring the soldiers and their families is like doing the Char Dham Yatra. I pray to God that we get the opportunity to honor Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan again and again.
National President of Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan, Veer Chakra recipient Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi and Chairman of National Economic Council, Mr. Rajan Chhibber hoisted the flag. After the flag hoisting, a film was shown for 180 members of Rashtriya Sainik Sansthan which was free of cost.
Squadron Leader Narendra Uniyal, Joint Secretary of Administrative Council, Gaurav Senani Gyan Singh, District President of Ghaziabad unit of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, District President of Women's Wing, Smt. Raj Sharma, Smt. Usha Rana, Namita Bhalla distributed tricolor flags to all the members and managed the arrangements.
More than 180 members including Monika Goyal, Triveni Jadayu, Om Jadayu, Sandhya Tyagi, Anju Ghai, Madhu Bansal, Smyra were present on this occasion.
Today, Colonel Tyagi told the whole story that independence was not achieved because of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi but because of the revolutionary heroes and the leadership of Subhash Chandra Bose. The foundation of independence was laid on 18 February 1946 with the naval revolt in Mumbai.
