9 July 2024, Raj Bhavan, Dehradun Cantt, Uttarakhand: Today, a program was organized at Raj Bhavan with the efforts of Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni Ji, founder of Ahimsa Vishva Bharti, in which it was discussed whether the solution to the problems of the whole world lies in the culture of India?
The chief guest of the program, Hon'ble Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh, Governor of Uttarakhand, said that the teachings of Lord Mahavir are more relevant in the present times than they were useful in the then times. The solution to global problems lies in his philosophy of non-violence, anekant, aparigraha. At present, the whole world is facing problems like war, violence, global warming, environmental pollution, diseases and depression, at such a time the teachings of Lord Mahavir are very relevant. I am happy that Acharya Lokesh Ji, following the path shown by Lord Mahavir, is constantly trying to propagate his teachings and Indian culture all over the world.
Patanjali Yogpeeth CMD Acharya Balkrishna Ji said that the welfare of mankind is hidden in yoga and Ayurveda. America's Democratic Party's Finance Commission Deputy Chairman Mr. Ajay Bhutoria said that today the western world is also looking towards India. Buddhist monk Dipankar Sumedhu, Chairman of Buddhist Cultural Foundation of India, mentioned the objectives of Lord Buddha.
Acharya Dr. Lokesh Ji, founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and Vishwa Shanti Kendra, said that the solution to our problems lies in trees and plants. The truth is that in Jainism, religion has been given the garb of environmental protection. He told that today is the 2550th death anniversary of Lord Mahavira and also the foundation day of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti.
While conducting the program, National President of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, Veer Chakra recipient Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi said that the global solution to problems lies in the philosophy of Lord Mahavira. He says that I ask for forgiveness from the living beings against whom I have committed a crime, and I forgive the living beings who have committed a crime against me.
