24 April 2023, Gandhi Shanti Pratishthan, Din Dayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi – Today, for the first time in India, a Demonstrative Seminar on Yoga for the Disabled was organized here.
Mr. Rajan Chhibber, Advisor, Andhra Pradesh said that till now there was no national level strong organization for the disabled. I am happy that Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha has taken this initiative by creating a disabled wing. Major General Ranjit Singh said that more than yoga is necessary for the common man, it is more necessary for the disabled because by doing yoga, they will get less feeling that they are less than others in any way. Swami Amit Dev Ji Maharaj, explaining the features of yoga, assured to conduct special yoga sessions for the disabled in his ashram.
Mr. Rajeev Saxena, Ministry of Social Justice, Government of India, and Mrs. Nidhi, representative of the Delhi State Commission for Disabilities, promised to facilitate online registration for PwDs and provide funds for organizing such programs.
National President of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi said that there are at least 2% disabled people in the country i.e. around 3 crores. It is also true that a country is identified more than its GDP by the fact that how much the people of that country take care of their disabled and martyrs.
Mr. Ashish Gupta, Protocol Officer of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Honorable Mr. Yogi Adityanath, said that we are very happy to see today's program for Divyangs and we will try to get cooperation from the Uttar Pradesh state government for this campaign.
Tejashwi Sharma, National Convenor of Divyang Wing, who has been a three-time World Yoga Champion, demonstrated Yoga and demanded the government to announce a special package for the Divyangs so that our organization can go from place to place and teach Yoga to the Divyangs and for them Can do welfare work. There was a lot of demonstration of yoga by the differently-abled.
Mr. Rishank Chhibber, National Co-Convenor of Divyang Wing honored all the present Divyangs by raising shawl and demanded that the minimum pension of Divyangs should be at least Rs.5000.
On this occasion, Mr. Ved Prakash, Mr. Vishal Yadav, Mr. Govind Agarwal, Dr. Anil Jain, Mr. Rajeev Jolly Khosla, Mrs. Namita Bhalla, Mr. Kishan Mohan, Mr. Hitesh Sharma, Mrs. Triveni Jadaun and exclusive dignitaries were present.
The program ended with the blessings of the chief guest Professor Pawan Sinha Guru ji.
