6 February 2023, Shaheed Smarak Park, in front of Manan Dham Temple, Meerut Road, Ghaziabad – Today retired Gaurav fighters collectively saluted the Martyr's Pillar by saying “Jai Hind” at the Shaheed Smarak Park.

Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha said that today there is not a single point on which the whole country is united. It is also said that the martyr is not of any village but of the whole country, so saluting by saying Jai Hind in front of the martyr's column will prove to be the first step in national integration and character building.

President of Indian Air Force Association Ghaziabad Unit Group Capt SS Sirohi, H F O - D Choubey, H F O - R G Singh, H F O - R K Shakaya, H F O - B R Sharma, M W O B P Gupta , WO - R K Upadhyay , SGT Luthra Vinod Kumar , CPL Amichand , JMO - DK Tyagi , H of O - BK Singh , AWO - Rajendra Bhargava , CPL KR Vohra, Nayak Brahm Pal Tomar jointly said that the first lesson from the Martyr's Column is that it is necessary to understand the difference between individual character and national character. There is no place for tolerance in national character.

Today a proposal also came that every school of Ghaziabad should make its students visit Shaheed Park at least once in a year. This is the best way to inculcate patriotism and to maintain the morale of today's soldier.
