NDRF pays tribute to the soldiers martyred in the disaster of Kedarnath on the martyr pillar of Ghaz


25 January 2022, NDRF Battalion, Govindapuram, Ghaziabad – Today, Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi, the National President of the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha, who received the Vir Chakra, went to the NDRF Battalion and paid tribute to the martyr soldiers who had given their martyrdom at the time of Kedarnath tragedy. In the name of those martyrs in NDRF Battalion, recently a martyr memorial has been established under the leadership of Commandant Praveen Kumar Tiwari of 8th Battalion NDRF.

 

Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha honored the families of these martyrs by calling them from every corner of the country at Jantar Mantar Delhi on 31 August 2013 (Micro report is attached). Two days ago the Prime Minister of India, Hon'ble Shri Narendra Modi has honored the Commandant of NDRF Battalion Pravin Kumar Tiwari with the Subhash Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puruskar. That's why the Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha congratulated them for doing excellent work and said that they can also take the help of ex-servicemen if needed, because disaster management is in the DNA of all soldiers.

 

Today, the recently established hole of NDRF Battalion was also inspected in which hundreds of plants and equipments used in rescue operations have been kept. Through Wall Device, information of a person living up to 20 meters behind the wall can be obtained.

NDRF battalion spread over 18 hundred acres is a matter of pride for Ghaziabad. NDRF Commandant Praveen Kumar Tiwari said that in the coming times, small courses will be run here to make the common man aware and capable of disaster management.
