Genesis of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha

In the army, soldiers can often be heard talking to each other that they consider civilians, directly or indirectly, dishonest. Similarly, in civil life, citizens can often be heard saying that the brain of an army soldier comes to his knees because of consistent beating his feet. Both the classes are the soul of the country, be it civilian or soldier. Both are important, the civilian is important on the basis of his number and collective wisdom , the soldier is important on the basis of his dedication, discipline and honesty.

Hundreds of organizations of retired soldiers have been formed. Some are of soldiers only, some of officers only, some of officers and soldiers, some of Army only, some of Navy only and some of Air Force only. Such organizations are formed at the village level, tehsil level, district level or national level. Generally, soldiers do not keep civilians in their organizations.

Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha was formed to unite soldiers and citizens. It was called an organization of patriotic citizens and ex-servicemen. Soldiers were told that citizens of the country can also be more patriotic than you. Were Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh soldiers? The citizens of the country were told that if a leader loses the election, he can contest the election again, if a District Magistrate is suspended, he can be reinstated but a soldier can sacrifice his life only once. Therefore, the sacrifice of a soldier is called the supreme sacrifice. Those who are ex-servicemen did not get the opportunity to sacrifice themselves but they have lived under the shadow of death, enemies and danger for a long time and have worked in adverse conditions. Therefore, ex-servicemen can also be called living martyrs.

As on today there is no parallel to Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha comprising ex-servicemen and Patriotic citizens , at National Level . It is spotless , honest , exalted character & die hard patriotic .

To bring ex-servicemen and patriotic citizens on one platform, a slogan or a weapon or a formula was needed. Its name is “Jai Hind”. This slogan, this weapon and this formula. When we say Jai Hind, the feeling of patriotism and love for the country surrounds the mind for 2-4 seconds. Imagine all the energetic children of all the schools of the country, together, saying Jai Hind with full devotion, faith and love and making others say Jai Hind, because words never die in the universe, their magnetic vibrations will keep resonating which will prove to be a panacea for national integration and character building.

The basis of the thinking of Rashtriya Sainik Sanstha is to bring patriotic citizens and ex-servicemen on one platform and give them the weapon of Jai Hind and engage them in the work of awakening the patriots. To do this, we work on missions like honoring the families of martyred soldiers, raising voice against the evils prevailing in the country and elementary  military training in schools.
